Cherokee Tear Dress Pattern

This style is unique to several tribes of the southeastern U.S. This pattern requires only a few simple measurements. Complete, illustrated instructions for sewing as well as ribbon placement. Sizes 6 to 20.

The tear dress is named so because no scissors were used in its creation. All the dress pieces were torn. Once thought to have been worn during the 1800's it has now been discovered this dress was created during the 1960's (or thereabout). Still authentic but more modern.
